Educational Qualification

Minimum Requirement: A bachelor’s degree (any discipline) from a recognized university.

Final year students can also apply, but they must submit proof of passing before the mains examination.

Nationality

For IAS, IPS, IFS:

Must be a citizen of India.

For other services

A citizen of India, or

A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or

A person of Indian origin (PIO) who migrated from select countries (e.g., Pakistan, Sri Lanka) with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

General category: 21 to 32 years

OBC: 21 to 35 years

SC/ST: 21 to 37 years

Additional relaxations apply for ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities
